The village of Kapisillit is home to approx. 65 people who makes their living mostly on fishing. It´s a fascinating place which combines the “old way of living” with more modern comforts such as a small grocery store, a school for the children and a ”service house” where the inhabitants can come and see a nurse or even have a hot shower.
It is possible to be dropped off by the boat, not far away from Kapisillit, and take a walk to see the view over the icefiord. It´s about 1,5 hours walk totally. The view is amazing!
